SEMINAR
13 & 14 JUNE
RUPERT ISAACSON
& PETRA VLASBLOM

About creating new neural pathways between the brain and nervous system

2Moons-boos2.jpg

This horse (Two Moons) experiences too much pressure and insecurity. His nervous system shifts into survival mode, causing him to flee and fight.

OLD PATTERNS

STUCK IN

What if behavioral patterns in horses and humans are not the real problem, but an expression of a nervous system stuck in old patterns?

During this intensive 2-day seminar, we explore how to recognize, understand, and shift these patterns in both humans and horses. We work with neuroscience, classical horsemanship, groundwork, behavior training, and above all: with what you can observe happening live in interaction.

We do not just talk about change, we demonstrate it — in real time!

MORE ABOUT

RUPERT & PETRA

Rupert Isaacson and Petra Vlasblom combine their international experience in this 2-day seminar, where neuroscience, behavior training, horsemanship, and hands-on practice come together.

Rupert Isaacson is an author, trainer, and international speaker, best known worldwide for the film The Horse Boy. From his personal journey with his son and the role horses played in it, he developed a practical approach to learning, regulation, and cooperation between humans and horses. His work integrates neuroscience with classical dressage and natural horsemanship, with a strong emphasis on in-hand work and direct interaction with the horse.

Petra Vlasblom is a behavior trainer and founder and director of the 2Moons education program, specializing in the application of Polyvagal Theory in her work with humans and horses. With more than 20 years of experience in behavior training, she makes visible what is happening in the nervous system and how this directly influences behavior, communication, and learning capacity.

Rupert and Petra don’t just demonstrate how systems function, they especially show how to move them, in both humans and horses.

Practical exercises in which participants learn to experience regulation within their own nervous system.

WHAT WILL

YOU EXPERIENCE?

This seminar is about actively influencing the cooperation between the brain and the nervous system, in both humans and horses. You will learn how to build more calmness, resilience, and connection by gaining insight, learning to observe differently, respond differently, and act differently in interaction with both humans and horses.

We work with, among other things:

• Insight into how stress, tension, and trauma influence behavior in both humans and horses.
• Exercises to regulate the nervous system.
• Groundwork and in-work exercises.
• Demonstrations of behavior training through the creation of new neural pathways between brain and nervous system.
• Exercises to improve physical and emotional balance in the interaction between human and horse.
• Learning to observe how behavior changes by positively influencing the brain and nervous system.

KNOWLEDGE

ABOUT THE BRAIN & NERVOUS SYSTEM

At the core of this seminar is something that is often explained, but rarely made visible: how to create new neural pathways between the brain and the nervous system, in both humans and horses.

Rupert Isaacson and Petra Vlasblom demonstrate in practice how to build new connections in horses that show tension or behavioral challenges, leading to lasting, desired behavior. At the same time, this is also made visible in the human system: how your own regulation, response, and presence directly influence what happens in interaction with you and the horse.

It is not about ‘changing the horse or the human’, but about bringing the system of the brain and nervous system into movement.

Sport riders and recreational riders can use this knowledge and skill to train even more successfully with their horse, from a place of connection.

WHO IS THIS

SEMINAR FOR?

  • For anyone working with tension, stress, or neurodiversity in humans or animals.

  • For coaches and trainers who want to go deeper than technique alone.

  • For sport riders and recreational riders who want to address problems at the root.

  • For horse owners who want to understand how their own nervous system influences their horse.

  • For professionals, trainers, doctors, and veterinarians who want to understand behavior, stress, and regulation from a broader perspective.

WHAT MAKES

THIS SEMINAR DIFFERENT

This is not a theory course and not a traditional training. It is a 2-day deep dive where neuroscience, experience, and horsemanship come together. Not only in explanation, but in live demonstrations and practical exercises with both humans and horses. We make visible in real time what happens beneath behavior.

You don’t just see it happening,
you experience it yourself!
